What is a pathway program?

UK pathway programs are designed for international students who do not yet meet the direct entry requirements for a bachelor's degree. They provide intensive academic and English language preparation, ensuring you have the skills needed to succeed at some of the world's most prestigious universities.

What is a Foundation Program?

An International Foundation program is a Year 0 bridge that prepares students for the first year of a UK degree. It is the standard route for students who have completed their Year 11 equivalent.

Standard foundation programs typically last 9 months (one academic year). Some providers offer fast-track (6 months) or extended (12+ months) options depending on entry requirements.
International Year One is accepted by many top-tier and mid-tier UK universities, including several Russell Group members, particularly for Business and Engineering subjects.
In most cases, yes. Most pathway providers are either owned by universities or have strong partnerships that allow international students to live in regular university accommodation.
Not necessarily. While many providers require UKVI IELTS, some may accept IGCSE English, O-Level English, or SPM English as proof of proficiency depending on the university and level.
The main intake is September, but many pathway providers offer significant secondary intakes in January/February and occasionally June/July.
Most students on a Student Visa for a pathway program at a Higher Education Provider can work up to 10 or 20 hours per week, depending on the provider's status.
