USA Study Common Questions

Admissions

Yes, students with qualifications like A-Levels, IB, STPM, or OSSD can apply for "Direct Entry" into Year 1. We assist with the Common App and university-specific applications.
Many US universities are now "test-optional" or "test-blind," but high scores in the SAT or ACT can still strengthen your application and increase scholarship opportunities.

F-1 Visa & Regulations

An I-20 is a document issued by a US university certifying that you have been admitted and have proven financial support. You need it to apply for your F-1 Student Visa.
While the interview itself is short, scheduling an appointment at the US Embassy in KL can take several weeks. We recommend starting the process at least 3-4 months before your intake.

Work Rights (OPT & CPT)

OPT allows international students to work in the USA for up to 12 months after graduation in a field related to their major. STEM degree holders can apply for a 24-month extension (3 years total).
Yes, through CPT (Curricular Practical Training) for internships, or by working on-campus for up to 20 hours per week during the academic semester.
ADTP is a flexible credit-transfer program that allows students to complete their first 1-2 years of a 4-year US degree locally before transferring to a university in the USA to complete the remainder of their studies.
